Help saving this baby

My uncle has several of these in his yard. Unbeknownst to me he dug one up, put it in a nursery pot, and my parents transported it 150 miles.

They’ve kept it on the floor with very little light for maybe 2 weeks. When I finally went to pick it up , 95% of the leaves fell. I love these peppers so much. Can anyone give me tips on saving it?

Also, does anyone know what variety these peppers may be? They’re very spicy, maybe 2-3x spicier than Thai chilis with a very slight hint of vinegar to them. The ripened chilis are red, though some are orange/red.
