AITA for making my step daughter to things on her own

My (26F) partner (34F) have been together for 6 years, her daughter is almost 8 years old and still relies on her mom to do most things (tries to get her mom to do most things for her). Put socks on, tie shoes, get her out of the shower, clean up, get dressed etc, it’s exhausting. I feel like she should be able to do these things by herself and she very well may be able to do them but my partner doesn’t give her the room to do it. I try to have conversations with my partner but it turns into a tit for tat type argument and I don’t want to hear it. I feel like her daughter is being done a disservice because she gives up so easily when trying to do new things by herself and asks mom for help. but i’m tired of arguing with my parter. so AITA?
