Bracey Everett – “The Lovers Curse” / “I Want Your Love” Original 45 RPM – Ultra-Rare 1950s Rockabilly Gem

Up for sale is an authentic, original pressing of one of the most legendary and sought-after rockabilly 45s of the 1950s: Bracey Everett – “The Lovers Curse” b/w “I Want Your Love.”

This single is widely regarded among collectors as a holy grail of 1950s rockabilly – a blistering slice of raw, primitive rock ’n’ roll that captures the restless energy of the era’s most exciting underground sounds.

✨ Key Highlights: • Original 1950s pressing (NOT a reissue or bootleg) – genuine artifact of early rockabilly history. • Both tracks were recorded by Bracey Everett (aka Robert Wallend), an obscure but hugely important figure in the rockabilly underground. • Backed by a tight, fiery session band typical of the late-’50s Southern rockabilly scene. • Extremely scarce: only a handful of original copies are known to exist. • Because of this scarcity, the record has been heavily bootlegged and counterfeited over the decades – original copies like this are almost never offered for public sale. • Coveted by serious collectors worldwide for its historic importance and thrilling, raw rockabilly sound. • A standout example of why collectors prize original 45s: the sound and energy of the original pressing simply cannot be duplicated.

🎶 Historical Significance: Issued in the mid-1950s at the dawn of rock ’n’ roll, “The Lovers Curse” and “I Want Your Love” capture the transition from hillbilly-style country to the wilder, electrified rockabilly sound that was sweeping the South. Bracey Everett’s vocals, coupled with raw guitar and slap-back rhythm, deliver the authentic, untamed sound that later defined the genre. The record’s scarcity, combined with its high-energy performance, has made it one of the most desirable 45s among rockabilly collectors and historians.

💰 Collector’s Note: Original copies of this 45 are highly prized and command premium prices at auctions and in private sales. Due to its legendary status, it has often been subject to unauthorized reissues and reproductions, which only heightens the value of authentic originals. For the dedicated collector, this is an opportunity to own a genuine piece of rock ’n’ roll history.
