Realistic Winter Options for Pilot Sport 4S Tires
I am loving my new-to-me 22 Mach 1. This is my fourth mustang, and I can't ever see parting with it.
This is the first vehicle I have ever owned with summer tires, and my intention was to garage her (not climate controlled) from Dec-Feb. I am in West Tennessee, so we don't get super chilly here on average, but the last three winters we have had week-long cold snaps, one of which had us below zero for 4 days.
After trying to research what options I had other than buying a set of winter wheels/tires, there seems to be options with more potential cons than pros...overinflate and park...jack stands (nope)...leave at standard inflation and park on extra thick carpet padding...remove wheels and place on sidewalls...something else?
For those who don't have a second set of wheels/tires, what have you done that worked, and what have you done that you wouldn't do again? Thanks in advance.
