It made me cry... RE8, is the FIRST Resident Evil game -- that's all about infamous one-liners, comical dialogue, C-rated storytelling, and adrenaline pumping boss battles -- made me cry in goddamn buckets.

And I was expecting fking Chris Redfield giving him a rocket launcher and make Ethan save his daughter, maybe in a comical or cheesy ending like other RE titles. But nooo... Those sons of a bitch at Capcom pulled a 180 and surprisingly gave me a goddamn great story and ending that makes TLOU2's plot even more stupid (sorry, not sorry).

I cannot BELIEVE they pulled this. All the hardships that Ethan did from RE7 to RE8 was short but bittersweet.

I was actually laughing and of course, scared, in RE7; Ethan went to a haunted mansion just to save Mia, while he faced the rest of the family and an annoying little brat named Eveline.

Laughed because of this brouhaha named Jack who keeps manhandling poor Ethan; Trypophobia enducing, unwashed herpes named Marguerite; that creep Lucas and Mia that looks like the foreplay went too far that Ethan forgot to ask for a safe word before they start. Also, Chris looks like he finally gave up on steroids.

Scared because of the Environment and, hell, even Jack who is stalking me, and the mannequins and everything until the Marguerite's house and the inside of the ship against the molds

RE7 was a blast and fun.

But RE8 was like, well, I was expecting to be scaroused (scared and aroused) like the big momma milkers Dimitrescu and her daughters. The almost PT/Silent Hills gameplay for Donna that is actually quite scary, balanced gameplay like on Moreau and action packed (but boring) fight on Heisenberg. While already expecting to have fun and have a stupid grin on my face because I was expecting a cliché that it's going to end up in a big way and another revelation again for the next game.

But... Nope... Of all Capcom games I've played -- DMC, Fighting games, some megaman games on the PSP and SNES, and even almost all resident evil games (RE2 remake to 7 -- this is the only Capcom game that made me cry. Legit.

Didn't expect that and it was sad that Ethan is gone. I was expecting he'll be back in another game. But no, they gave him a realistic ending as an everyman and I cried.

And that fully convinced me that I liked Ethan more than RE7. I was not really invested in him and thought "He should've just listened to Mia dumbass!" But, his struggles and sacrifices he made make it even more meaningful now in RE8. Now I love him.

Planning to play Shadows of Rose next... But I think I'll take a break for now after Ethan's death.

(Also, I've ended in 10:17"26 in hardcore mode so yey me!)

Just finished Resident Evil 8... Fk this game because it made me feel like this. (And didn't expect it at all)
