I called it quits after three months (explained)
I moved back home after college and applied to hundreds of jobs and eventually started working at Amazon as a driver thinking it was a good way to make cash while looking for a better position…
After training and starting my “nursery” ~200 stop routes I was struggling to keep up and was told to speed things up or I’d lose pretty much all my hours or be fired , I’m not one to quit and needed the money so I pushed through and grinded and kept up with the demand
To shorten things up there was a clear issue with the communication with dispatch and the leads, Terrible vans that smelled like piss and had piss bottles on the worst days, Amazon constantly needing 200+ stop routes with no rescues or splits, the constant pressure to deliver in the most ridiculous situations, and to wrap things up when I got injured during one of my routes (dislocated ankle and small muscle tear) they wanted me to make a rescue before returning to station and got mad when I told them I was unable to and cut my hours 👍
Should I have stayed or do you think I made a great decision?
