HELP! Faded fine line — blast with bold?

Hi! I have two (not super) fine line tattoos. I’ve had them for 3ish years. I’ve moved since I got them so I’m no where near the original artist for a touch up or anything.

So the problem for me is they are fading way too fast! I was well aware of the fading of fine line tattoos however mine is even fully disappearing in some parts, which I totally didn’t anticipate or know was possible. I’m pretty disappointed with how much they’ve disappeared.

I’ve long thought that these tattoos would look good with a bolder line over them and I’ve found an artist who is willing to do it for me, close to my new location. They’re a trad artist and I like the size of their line work and think it would look good over mine.

Is there any reason I shouldn’t do this? Anything I need to p*ay attention to or be mindful of? I really don’t want to be putting maintenance else into these tattoos. Any advice/comments/questions/concerns are greatly appreciated!
