Hello I'm getting my first real home theater setup and need opinions as I know my room set up is not optimal for it but it's what I got lol. . My budget for the sub is about $750, maybe a bit more. Im fine with looking around at used.

So the living room is open concept next to the kitchen. The room is 15ftx14ft with the "open" side having a small 3ft section of wall, then a 2.5ft open space into kitchen, then a 6ft built in bar(bar is about 3.5ft tall), then the 3.5 foot closest to tv is is also open space into kitchen. The kitchen is then a 10ftx15ft room.

I know the open space is going to make the speakers/sub job harder so I'm thinking I might need a bigger or multiple subs. I was thinking maybe 2 10inch RSL speedwoofers across from eachother (the X spots on my crude drawing) or a single svs pro 1000 on one of the x spots. I'm new to the surround system thing but alway been interested since I bought my home 8 years ago, been getting by with a soundbar with woofer and satellite. Needless to say can't wait to get everything installed.

So this is the system so far that I was able to get at what I feel where good/great prices. Also I know the speakers+reciever could be better but I wanted to stick to a $2000 budget for them and came in under that so far ($450 left for ceiling speakers)

Reciever Onkyo TX-NR7100
Front L&R rp-600m
[space limit so no towers]
Center r-30c
L&R surround R-40m
Rear surround ro-402s (I know not optimal for atmos but couch has to be close to wall, about 1ft away to fit right and after reading ALOT of stuff with people in similar situations decided to try it)

Also have 2 speakers being installed on/in ceiling just haven't decided how I want to do that yet.

Help me with sub purchase and placement.
