Blood Test and Physical Problems
Hi, 25 male, 52kg 176cm.
I've been taking Lithium Carbonate 900-600mg/day for my depression for almost a year and half. I also take some vitamin (for hair), which I think are irrelevant. For a year my life was limited to studying, and I didn't do many physical activities apart from hiking from time to time. Last time I went hiking, I had dizziness and low blood pressure. My blood pressure was 6-10 6-9 for three days, I got a serum and only after then I felt a bit better. At first, I thought it was some sort of lithium intoxication, so I went to my psychologist, and she sent me to get a blood test. I did, and she said all was set and there was nothing to worry about. I had also told her that it might be anemia, but she said the test results didn't indicate anything serious. Here are my test results (item - unit- (normal range)):
Serum Level
Lithium: 0.67 - mmol/l - (0.5–1.2)
Biochemistry
Urea: 23 - mg/dl - (15–45)
Creatinine: 1 - mg/dl - (0.7–1.4)
Sodium (Na): 148 - mmol/l - (135–150)
Potassium (K): 3.8 - mmol/l - (3.5–5)
Calcium: 10.3 - mg/dl - (8.6–10.3)
Magnesium (Mg): 2.3 - mg/dl - (1.9–2.5)
CBC
W.B.C.: 6.6 - 10^3/mm^3 - (4–10)
R.B.C.: 5.64 - 10^6/mm^3 - (4.5–5.9)
Hemoglobin: 14.8 - gr/dl - (12–16)
**High** Hematocrit: 47.2 - % - (36–46)
**Low** MCH: 26.24 - pg - (27–34)
**Low** MCHC: 31.36 - % - (32–36)
MCV: 83.69 - FL - (80–96)
Platelets: 252 - 10^{3}/\text{mm}^{3} - (150–450)
**High** Neutrophil: 62 - % - (40–60)
Lymphocyte: 32 - % - (20–40)
Eosinophil: 4 - % - (1–4)
Monocyte: 2 - % - (2–8)
RDW CV: 13.2 - % - (11.5–15)
Should I worry about my blood results? My blood pressure still drops when I do any type of physical activity, and I don't like the restraint. I know it might be because of my weak muscles due to inactivity, but I want to know if it could also be anemia because my family has a history of having this disease. Thank you for reading.
