Denied boarding compensation
I recently had a flight with Ryanair. I checked in online, completing everything except the passport scan, which was not working. When I arrived at the airport, they insisted that I owed 55 euros to print my boarding pass. When I asked why, I was completely ignored. The woman at the desk was extremely rude, refusing to answer my questions and smiling when I was clearly getting frustrated. I repeatedly asked why I was being given this fee, to which she told me to get out of line and started ushering customers to move me out of the way. I asked for her name so I could write a complaint, and she raised her voice when I tried to take a photo of her name tag. Eventually, I did end up paying the fee and printing my boarding pass, but upon leaving, my frustration took over, and I used some inappropriate language. However, I was calm and nonthreatening-- I muttered a vulgarity. I got through security and to my gate, then was denied boarding. From there, none of the employees would answer my questions or look at me. They physically turned their backs on me despite my obvious confusion and hysterics. After sitting down and crying for a bit in the corner of the gate, one employee grabbed me and brought me to a bus. He would not tell me what was going on or where it was going despite my begging. In the end, it brought me to the passport check to leave the airport. I believe that this treatment was incredibly disproportionate and not valid on any grounds of safety concerns or threatening behavior. To put it plainly, I was removed from my flight and mistreated by every RyanAir employee I came in contact with. This was done in retaliation by an employee who, frankly, provoked me. I even submitted a complaint about said employee before I was made aware of my denial for boarding. What do I need to do to receive compensation? Is it even possible?
