Lore update?

Hey it’s been a while since I’ve kept up with the game but I would love if someone could give me a brief rundown on the current state of the game. Like how many rivals are officially in the game? Is there any new character lore? Does Senpai finally have a personality? I want a full infodump. Thanks in advance!
