Downfall After Season 1

Discussion

Am I the only one who thinks season 1 was pretty good and then it went down hill from there? Season 2 wasn't that bad and Season 3 is just a joke. The show has such great potential to be so so good. I think a story of a former high ranking mob member who gets pushed out of his city and has to build up from scratch again is such a good idea. The execution was just so so bad. Here are some of my takes:

  1. If Sylvester Stallone was not the main character then the show would not have any popularity.

  2. They show such a Hollywood version of the south as a whole.

  3. I love Stallone as an actor but can they add some flaws to his character? Its like they guy knows what to say and when to say it perfectly each time. Its like everything he touches turns to gold

  4. Support cast suck. The writing is just so so bad. Prime example is Tyson blowing a 150 million dollar job over a stripper he just met?

  5. SUPER fast progression of the businesses they own. Weed shop went from being some small shop to a big shop that makes MOST of the family's money? Your telling me a weed shop in the south makes more money than the casino they own?

  6. This one is small but why the focus on the different types of cars so much? Like it feels like they just take whatever money that can from car companies and use the cars in the movies. Its like product placement shoved down your throat.

  7. Each season a new bad guy gets introduced that we never heard of before. Like every season Dwight's crew goes up against some random other crew and they get some sort of business out of it. Like that's it, that is the entirety of the show.

  8. !Dwight working as pretty much an informant/water boy for the feds. Do i need to say more? !<
