Pokemon Center pre-order confusion

Hello! I managed to put in a pre-order for Mega Evolutions when it was released, the money left my account about a week or so ago. Yesterday the order got shipped and is currently on its way to me. I checked my bank today and the money seems to be back in my account. Is this what people are talking about when they say they put a hold on funds and then take them? I'm a little confused. No emails from pokemon center either
