How are websites like Umamusume DB and ChronoGenesis getting player and club data?

I don't like the UI and query features of Umamusume DB and ChronoGenesis, so I thought I'd make my own website or Discord bot to get fan count and search for legacy borrows as a fun side project. But no matter what I look up, I can't figure out how these websites are actually getting the player and club data from the game. I doubt they're scraping the data from the game client. Is there some sort of API or database that they pull from?
