First off, thank you all so much.

I found out about a stray a few towns over from me in Ireland, and discovered that while the local cat rescue had been alerted, they had no intention of coming out to help this cat, or the woman who found her. I reached out to the finder of this 6-8 month old mama cat, and took her in as soon as I discovered the finder could not offer the mama sanctuary.

I have had Sweet Pea for two weeks, and have informed the local rescue who updated the original post to simply say that this mama is now in my care. Not once did they reach out to me to claim responsibility for her, offer me any kid of aid, etc, so I accept that I have noticed an issue in my area, and helped to solve it rather than ignore it.

I brought her hom and got her system used to food again. That took about a week. She is very sweet, but has never been inside a house before. The sound of my dryer, kettle, hoover, are all stressful sounds that will prompt a sort of vigilant gaze from this mama, but she is great with people. She's excellent to eat food and use the litter box now, and I've got her eating 6-8 pouches of kitten food a day. (For being underweight, being a kitten herself, and pregnancy/lactation.)

Last Friday, she gave birth to 6 kittens! I couldn't believe she had so many, but they are beautiful! Now, my only issue with the kittens is the fact they will be 12 weeks old on the 26th of December, and the last thing I want is for these babies to be Christmas presents tossed out by the end of January.

I will be keeping mama given her tramatic life up to this point, but will be happy to rehome all the kittens as long as they are responsible and non-abusive.

TL;DR - How do I find responsible homes for 5 kittens (who will be 12 weeks old on 26th December), so they're not abandoned, used for bait, or abused?

Again, thank you all so much!
