IVF - Long Protocol - Advice Needed!

Hiya folks,

Im currently going through the IVF long protocol after 2.5 years of TTC naturally my partner and I decided to go privately and have IVF after saving up.

I'm currently in a position in work which is pretty much balanced and I know my job well. Ive been in my role for 1 year and with my employer for more than 4 years.

My team lead has just started putting me on assignments as an Project Manager when I am currently the equivalent of the administrator. I've always shared that I am keen to move up but I've not had training or insight up until now and I can see I have been listed as PM for 2 umcoming projects (one starting next week).

My TL doesn't know my situation but my big boss does as she is female so I felt easier to confide in her.

My issue is - I dont want this extra workload right now when we are 2 weeks away from FET! I haven't had proper training for this role and I don't feel confident in doing it. My job is so seperated from the PM's.

Just wondering how people would manage this? I know my TL is trying to push me towards promotion but now is the worst timing!
