NG++ or NG+2 - HELP!

Hi folks! I've run through new game and new game +. People are saying I mustttt play NG++, which I'd like to, but starting fresh on my NG+ seems to have to reset me to a normal NG+.

Am I doing the right thing? What do I need to do? Help! 😭
