World building leveraging AI is my new addiction
Lately I’ve been using AI to project and predict how basic, real-world materials could evolve into exotic planets when scaled to astronomical extremes. It’s like combining chemistry class with world-building and astrophysics.
Here’s my latest scenario and prompt:
“Two Earth-mass worlds suddenly appear 10,000 miles apart around a Sun-like star. One is rich in molten cesium and sodium, the other a frozen sphere of fluorine and oxygen ices. Using real-world physics, gravity, and chemistry, describe in cinematic, scientifically grounded detail what unfolds over the next month—the heat transfer, atmospheric reactions, plasma arcs, tidal distortions, and visible transformations.
Use imperial units throughout. Tone: precise, awe-struck hard sci-fi—written for readers who love real chemistry, thermodynamics, and planetary dynamics rendered with vivid realism.”
I picked those elements because they really don’t like each other here on Earth. You can plug and play anything. With enough mass everything transforms and mixes in neat ways, creating exotic worlds.
