Disappointed after talking to family doctor

Finally decided to go to my family doctor about RCPD and I’m feeling very frustrated. I felt like they were talking down to me like I was a child and trying to explain that I could have other issues (that I have already dismissed). They refused to refer me to a specialist and just gave me acid reflux medication, which isn’t going to do anything. I tried to explain that even people with acid reflux can usually burp but no such luck. Feeling really bummed out and not sure what to do next.
