Silent Hill f, Chronos The New Dawn, or other?

The weather outside has cooled down to autumn temps, the leaves are changing, NHL season started... it finally feels like October. I've been playing Ghost of Yotei and feel like I need a break for something less open worldy, so why not horror?

If I had to choose, I'd pick Silent Hill f, it seems more interesting to me narratively than Chronos and most other options... however, while I won't be so bold as to call it Soulslike, it sounds like an overwhelming, frustrating amount of action (>!particularly in the second half!<) and I'm not really on board for that. I just want a good mix of interesting, fun and scary.

Almost tempted to do a replay marathon of Alan Wake/Control/Alan Wake 2 to go with my Oh Deer diner thermos 😉... but I just don't think I have time for it this month.

What do you guys think? Is Silent Hill f as annoying as it sounds? Is Chronos more fun while being similarly interesting/scary? Any other suggestions?
