weird route ending theory

given the insane scope of this fandom a thought similar to this has propably been put out there before, but screw it, i'll shoot. i think that the obvious endpoint of this whole Noelle indoctrination process is the heart / soul taking over her body in full like a parasite, either jumping off of kris or multiplying somehow.

there could be many motives for this; either an attempt by the player to utilize her ice powers against the final boss, or just a general dissatisfaction with Kris as a vessel, which obviously has been growing with time. the goner maker "minigame" also explicitly pushes you towards being disappointed with controlling Kris, with him taking over your preferred avatar - forcing Noelle into the protagonist role could be seen as the player taking revenge on the game for not respecting their wishes.
