Looking for a camera thats both good for astrophotography and underwater
Hey everyone,
I know this might be a long shot - what I’m looking for is probably impossible — but there must be some middle ground I can cover.
I’m searching for a camera that can handle both basic astrophotography and underwater shooting. I’m a beginner, not a professional - this is more of a hobby and a way to create nice content for the company I run.
💰 Budget: around €1500, but I can stretch it a bit if there’s a really good reason to.
I’ve already done some research and found a few suggestions online (I’ll attach screenshots below), but I’d love to hear from you if there’s something better I might have missed.
To be more specific:
Astrophotography – I’d like to capture nice shots of the Milky Way and night landscapes. Using a sky tracker at some point, I’d love to try photographing close galaxies - though that’s definitely not a priority.
Underwater – I’d like to take photos and videos down to 20 meters, in good visibility, of freedivers and maybe some marine mammals.

Help me figure out whether what I’ve found is the best I can get within my small budget and limited experience - or if there’s a hidden gem I haven’t discovered yet.
