Mouse modding question about switches

So I was thinking, mouse switches (mechanicals) work by completing the circuit when pressed. Could I just not solder 2 pins to the pcb and then attach a metal plate to the mouse click. Could get very low clicks this way (idk if it would be any better, Id try tho). U will lose the clicky feel tho but idk if I care

Im thinking abt this for 3d printed ultralight mice
