Mars 5 Ultra Intermittent Auto-leveling woes

I'd like to bring this up before it becomes a prevailing issue.

I have repeated, intermittent, issues with my Mars 5 Ultra auto-leveling feature and I'm trying to make sense of it, but I'm not well versed enough to even start properly diagnosing this and finding a consistent solution.

I've been printing for about a year now with this printer, about 2 months ago there was a defect in the printer in the form of the screw tread to the VAT getting stripped so I repaired that myself.

Now I'm back to printing, and it's been looking great.

But the issue is for weeks at a time, I'll print nonstop, then take a break, install some updates, then get CONSTANT auto-level failures.

• Sometimes a workaround of "Return to Home" and then reprinting will work.
• Sometimes I add a little more resin to the VAT, and it will work.
• Sometimes I just try again, and it will work.
• One time I kept getting it, so I cleaned out the VAT, screwed back the VAT in, dumped the SAME resin in there, and it started working again.
• One time, I uploaded two GCODE files and miraculously, I barely saw the auto-level failures, it came back again recently though and asking about GCODE files on the ELEGOO official discord gave me crickets.

This is one of the smaller issues I've have with my printer, but this is definitely annoying.

It's not fun to constantly cross my fingers every time it says "Auto-leveling"

Just what could be the issue?
