Should I stay in corporate finance or move into investment advising?

I need some honest advice about my career. I’ve been working in corporate finance for about 4 years. My job is stable, and I do things like budgeting, forecasting, and reports for a mid-sized company. It’s fine, but lately it feels like I’m doing the same thing every month mostly just numbers on a screen.

I’ve been thinking about switching to investment advising or wealth management. I like the idea of working with people directly and helping them make smart money choices. But I’m not sure if it’s a smart move or if I’d have to start all over again.

Has anyone here made that kind of change? Was it worth it? Or should I stay where I am and try to grow within corporate finance?

Would love to hear your honest thoughts and experiences.
