Looking for Recommendations: Best/Longest Overnight Pads for Heavy Bleeding

Products

Hi there! After reading a few posts on here, I get the impression that this would be a good place for me to get advice. I've always been a heavy bleeder, but it seems like, after I thought I had mastered my ridiculous system for protecting my clothes and sheets at night, my bleeding has gotten ever heavier, as I'm nearing perimenopause. As long as I have bleed-through backup layers and everything is sitting tight in place, I'm usually fine with nothing leaking through the sides. The main issue is with leaks in the back. Maybe it's because I'm tall, but, as the volume of blood in my pad increases during the night, blood keeps pooling in my butt area, and by the morning, I have to worry about lying in a stain of blood, because the pad just isn't long enough. It seems like I sometimes underestimate how far back I need to position the back-up pad layers. Last night, I tried creating a pad extension by putting a regular flow pad in the back area of my panties, under my main pad, but I'd rather have protection from a single pad on that layer. My main pad brand and type right now is 'Always Ultra Thin Overnight Pads with Wings, Size 5, Extra Heavy Overnight Absorbency'. The length of those pads isn't cutting it. I've also tried 'Equate Overnight Ultra Thin Pads with Wings, Size 5, Extra Heavy Overnight Protection', but those can't handle the volume, so I only use those as bleedthrough protection (especially the sides). I've considered maxi pads, hoping that they might be able to hold more blood and therefore keep the blood from flowing to the back in the first place, but I'm not sure if that would be the case.

Are there longer options than the Always Ultra Thin Overnight Pads Size 5? What are your recommendations for long pads that provide maximum protection?

(Side note: Protection from heavy bleeding is so expensive. 😩)
