I’m surrounded by idiots. I hate my city.

I just really need to get this off my chest. I am surrounded by idiots. I swear, I hate my city. I’m surrounded by people who are hopeless, blinded, and honestly, part of a cult at this point, the DDS cult.

Everywhere I look, everywhere I go, everyone I talk to is a DDS. It’s exhausting. I wish I could fully explain the disappointment I feel, but I honestly can’t put it into words. Even people I used to look up to, respected professionals, educated people, I end up finding out they’re DDS too. It’s like, how? How the hell are they so successful and yet so blind?

And without saying too much, these aren’t just random people. These are Court of Appeals justices, RTC judges, Metropolitan Trial Court judges. People who are supposed to be symbols of justice, fairness, and critical thinking, and they believe in the Duterte family and the DDS mentality. It’s depressing.

Then recently, with the earthquake both in Cebu and Davao, two DDS-dominated areas, some people have actually been saying things like, “This is what the Philippines gets for prosecuting Kiboloy and Duterte.” Like, are you serious? Some senior citizens really think it’s karma. Meanwhile, some younger ones (in their 30s and 40s!) are posting, “Keep BBM there, don’t let the president come here, we don’t need help.”

Like, what the actual fuck are you talking about? Even in the middle of a tragedy, they’re still acting so high and mighty and still turning everything into a political circus. At this point, this isn’t even about the government. It’s a natural calamity. What matters is how we recover, how we help each other. But no… they’d rather make it about their cult loyalty.

I hate it. They frustrate me. It’s like they’ve completely lost all sense of logic.

I feel like I don’t belong here. I can’t even talk about politics anymore because the moment you do, it turns into chaos. I’ve realized I don’t really have anyone here I can talk to about it which is why I keep coming to Reddit, posting in different subs about my frustrations. Because at least here, people outside of my city actually understand me.

It’s just sad. It’s isolating. And it’s disappointing to see how deep the blindness goes.
