Does Djinn Barya ITEM level matter?

The area level 80 Barya's Ilvl can go up to 86. Most drops will be 80-82ilvl, and those sell for nothing (1 regal). But ilvl 86 sells for 2 divs.

Does it make any difference? I ran a couple ilvl 86 and noticed nothing different, was I scammed?
