Parking for Sam Burchfield at Cat's Cradle? here’s the deal

hey everyone, so excited for the Sam Burchfield and The Scoundrels show on friday. i've been to Cat's Cradle a million times and parking can be a headache if you don't know the deal. figured i'd share some tips so you're not circling around stressed out.

honestly the best thing i've found recently is this app called Prked. people who live right next to Cat's Cradle rent out their driveways and garages for shows. it's usually way cheaper than any paid lots would be and you get to park super close, like a 2-minute walk away. you just book a spot on the app and it's yours. it's the easiest way to skip all the traffic chaos on Main Street trying to find a spot.

if you don't do that, the main spot everyone tries for is the free town parking deck. it's right beside the Hampton Inn hotel, just east of the venue. once you park there, you walk down the back alleyway behind the building to get to the Cradle's entrance. super important tip: the entrance isn't on the street, it's in the back of the building. a lot of first-timers get confused by that.

There are other town lots in Carrboro you can use too, and sometimes you can get lucky with street parking, but read the signs carefully for any restrictions. The venue technically has its own small lot but it's tiny and fills up like an hour before doors even open, so i wouldn't even count on that.

whatever you do, get there a little early. Carrboro gets busy on a friday night and for a good show like this one, all the good spots will go quick. you don't wanna miss the opener trying to find parking.

can't wait for the show. hope this helps you guys out
