[WeWantOut] 42M 38F UAE -> Santiago,Chile
Hi Team,
My mind is wandering thinking about Santiago , Chile :) and the want to move with my Family there.
I have done my research and I come across :
-Excellent Nature and landscape
-One of the most if not advanced Country by infrastructure as LATAM
-Climate is Mediterranean which is amazing cos we come from Middle East (i know ryt lol)
-Quite positive reviews about how Chileans treat Foreigners i.e Expats (let us leave knowing Spanish part aside for now :)
- 3-6 years tax break and clear path to Citizenship
-Beautiful visa options which sound very fair and easy.
Challenges !! Can be little risky living with a Family considering the levels of petty thefts and crime around the city.
I need some opinions here please. Am I over exaggerating this petty theft and small crimes to my mind too much before making a call to move there?Is Santiago OK a place otherwise? Is it like any other City in the World where you should know where not to go? As much we can afford living at Tier A/B parts of Santiago..i am just confused.
Anyone who has made a move... Who is in Chile or any Expat who has felt the Chilean Air...City vibes..observed the crime levels etc.. please do pour in your opinions and help this Family man with a Teen and Wife make the right decision. Thanks Team!!!
Cheers...and a happy weekend.
