At 22, wondering If I missed the "window" for love...
Although I am still in my early twenties (22 y/o), I feel like I have hit a dead end in terms of finding a romantic partner through traditional social institutions. I am doing a Master's and a part-time WFH job currently. From my perspective, this was probably my last real chance at something romantic taking place organically. I have a few friends who are college sweethearts and have been dating for almost four to five years. This just makes me feel like I missed out. I am not quite sure how dating in corporate works, but I have very little hopes.
I understand that I have to put myself "out there", but I am not confident enough to approach a complete stranger. I gave dating apps a shot briefly, but soon realised that it's not my cup of tea either. I know that from a third-person POV, it just seems like I've brought these limitations on myself as a result of being too rigid and short-sighted in my ways. It's just that, it's one of those days where I feel pretty overwhelmed thinking of all this, and wanted to let it out.
If eventually this loneliness starts to seem permanent, I will be forced to explore the above-mentioned avenues, if I truly desire companionship. But for now, I shall throw myself this tiny pity party. LoL.
Thank you for reading. I hope you have a good day ahead.
