Was I out of line asking this?

So I met this girl online many weeks ago. Were shared all kinds of stories, facts, family, etc. Now we’re in two different countries. So she had something out on social media that appeared to be date last night as she was really close in the stories and rubbing on the guy and having wine. So I joked with her I guess maybe she found someone. She got really upset and said clearly it bothered me her being out with someone. I was like no I was just curious if it was something serious since we had talked about what it would take to date at a distance and her willingness to move to my country if things worked out. She said after 20 messages that the guy was gay but now she was upset with me. Which at no point was I acting angry or upset. I just said for sake of transparency if one of us was seeing anyone serious I figure that should be mentioned before things get more serious. I said I wouldn’t have asked if not for the posts last night. Anyway she got super upset and was like I think I’m done here.

So was I out of line asking about the posts appearing to be a date?
