People always say they want to “find love,” but sometimes I think love isn’t something you find—it’s something you learn.

When I was younger, I thought being in a relationship meant having someone who texted me back, remembered my birthday, and held my hand in public. But the older I get, the more I realize: love is a test of emotional skills.

Can I stay calm when we fight? Can I be alone without falling apart? Can I love someone real, not the version I made up in my head?

Maturity doesn’t magically come with age or romance. It comes from learning not to use love to fill emptiness, but to grow together while staying whole on our own.

Love isn’t just about finding the right person. It’s about becoming the kind of person who can love right.
