Do some amount of research, pick a vacuum, and move on... My experience:

Just wanted to share that I was exactly like the many people here agonizing over the million options that exist. I spent time going through reddit reviews, vacuum wars videos, spec sheets, and reading product sheets like a goddam cipher trying to understand model names.

I purchased a Dreame L40s Ultra AE during the Prime sale and honestly, all of that unnecessary stress lifted immediately.

Is this the best vacuum for my situation, budget, etc? Who knows... But it's going to be a hell of a lot better than vacuuming manually every day to keep up with my dogs' unending amount of hair.

My advice - figure out what features you need, set your budget, watch reviews or read up on 2-3 vacuums that satisfy both, and go with your gut. You'll be happier having made the decision, and the reality is that this is an evolving technology so your choice is not going to be perfect in a year anyway 😉.
