⛳ Coyote Springs Golf Club
📍 Coyote Springs, NV (about 60 miles north of Las Vegas)
Coyote Springs is one of Nevada’s great hidden gems — a Jack Nicklaus Signature course dropped in the middle of the Mojave Desert, miles from anything but mountains and sky. It’s remote, peaceful, and pure golf — no houses, no traffic, no noise, just fairways carved through a desert valley with snow-capped peaks in the distance. It’s a different vibe than Vegas golf — quieter, cleaner, and beautifully designed.
When to Go: March through May and September through November offer ideal weather. Summer brings serious heat, but morning rounds are manageable (and cheap). Winter is mild and playable, though winds can pick up across the open valley.
What Golfers Say: “The best course you’ve never heard of.” That’s the phrase you’ll see over and over in reviews — and it’s true. Golfers love the layout: strategic, fair, and beautifully maintained. The par-3s are world-class, especially the 8th, which plays over water against a mountain backdrop that feels straight out of a painting. The greens are pure Jack Nicklaus — large, undulating, and demanding the right angles on approach. Many say it’s the perfect mix of challenge and serenity.
The biggest complaint? It’s out in the middle of nowhere. But for most, that isolation is part of the magic. You come for golf, and that’s exactly what you get — world-class golf, without the distractions.
Pros: Incredible design, peaceful setting, great conditioning, strong value.
Cons: Remote location, windy afternoons, no clubhouse restaurant.
Cost & Value: $100–$160 depending on season and time; one of the best values within driving distance of Vegas.
Local Tips: Play early to beat the wind — it usually picks up after 11 a.m. Bring water and snacks; there’s limited food service on-site. Pair it with Wolf Creek or Conestoga in Mesquite for a fantastic two-day trip. Cell service can be spotty, but that’s part of the unplugged experience.
