Archer AXE75 (AXE5400) Easymesh Setup

I bought two of the subject routers thanks to Amazon Prime Days sale which had these @ 40% off. Ordered yesterday and showed up this morning. I'm @ work now so can't set up until weekend.

I'm wondering if these will already have updated firmware to allow for the Easymesh option (as opposed to the original OneMesh). If not, then I will I have to ensure both routers get updated with the f/w first? Or can I just set the "main" router up and then when I set the "satellite" router it will just get the update?

I'm embarking on a google/reddit journey now to seek out optimal settings for the AXE75. These are replacing old (and "EOL") ASUS RT-AC86U routers that I used in AIMesh mode. I figure having the tri band w/ 6GHz backhaul will be beneficial as a stop gap until better/cheaper WiFi 7 devices come along.
