I Just Watched The MV of Eyes Closed and.....OOH BOY

The setting is futuristic yet the way they're styled is so bland. Don't get me wrong-they look classy but they look like they're heading to a formal function rather than chilling in outer space of all places?!

Their faces are so dead. Zero emotions or expressions. How am I supposed to connect with the romantic (or lustful-open to interpretation, really) vibe of the song if their voices are autotuned to the point all personality is gone and on top of that, they are as "lively" as wax dummies around each other??? Then there's the scene Jisoo has to ask AI what planet she's looking at (she can't tell how Saturn looks even though that info is taught to everyone back in primary school science classes?!) and the Android bot logo is hovering around??? The focus on her crappy white acrylic nail job took me out too.

As for the song itself-it sounds dated, boring and repetitive BUT I don't hate it. I don't love it either. It's just passably competent and it exists. Jisoo's English is even better than what I heard on Amortage and I was already impressed with how much she had improved then. Good for her.

I like how she sounded at the end of this track but that's the problem. Zayn's voice is overpowering and carries the song. Either he's singing or they're singing together and his voice was drowning hers out. That's not how HER song with a feature artist should go. Either it should have been the other way around OR (I prefer the latter) they should have gotten 50-50 line distribution.
