Current net worth is approximately ₹15 lakhs. Looking for guidance on selecting a few solid investment options to grow it further.

Finance

Profile & Background :

I am a 31‑year‑old unmarried software engineer, earning ₹80,000/month in hand. I rent a house and also support my parents (who live in our village) for their daily expenses.

I have a few lakhs in Fixed Deposits (FDs) that will mature soon, and I’m looking to re‑invest them across different asset classes like gold, mutual funds, etc., rather than just putting everything in another FD.

Current Investments Snapshot :

  1. Approx. ₹5 lakhs in FD
  2. Approx ₹2 lakhs in individual stocks
  3. SIPs of ₹6,000/month (~₹70,000 so far; planning to raise to ₹10,000/month)
  4. Approx ₹4 lakhs in physical gold (bought partly for future marriage)
  5. Approx ₹2 lakhs kept in savings account as emergency fund (EF)

What I’m Seeking Given that stocks / SIPs haven’t been performing well lately (or seem volatile), I want to explore additional, diversified investment options. I’m looking for suggestions on where else I can allocate funds (balanced by risk, liquidity, tax, etc.).

TIA
