How consistent are your pain symptoms?

I have had terrible pain during my period since I got my first one and since last year it has gotten worse. I even had a period of non-stop pain for months, but luckily that has gotten better for now. All this inconsistency in pain fuels my self doubt in deciding to go for surgery or not. My gyn thinks that endometriosis and/or adenomyosis are possible and also suspects hydrosalpinx. But I cannot help to think I am exaggerating my pain and symptoms because I have periods with no pain at all
