The weather post on the forum never actually indicated anything

Given that an innocuous post on the weather on a lighthearted thread on the official forum has (rather ironically) turned into a storm in a teacup, I figured I would take a further look into the matter.

It turns out that the whole thing was nothing more than a bit of misinformation - the post was actually made the day before the beta actually came out.

That's right, the post itself was made on 18th October, whilst the beta was released on the 19th. That's not to say that the beta will be coming out today instead, however!

With how widespread the idea that a post about the weather was this huge indicator of when the beta would be released, I'm surprised that seemingly no one decided to actually check whether it was true or not (or if they did, it's not been mentioned anywhere). At least the record has been set straight now
