Learning to be a plumber.

I am looking for good resources for learning to plumb. My area uses IRC 2018, and I have a reference, but I feel like as a student, there must be some resource that would help interpret visually what the codes state, as well as proper ways to draw and interpret drawings of plumbing systems. Any advice for someone looking to learn would be great. I am wanting to be somewhat knowledgable prior to applying for a job assisting an actual plumber.
