What animal best represents your region of Norway? 🦌

Hi everyone! 👋
My name is Eryk Michalak, and I’m a Master’s student at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology in Warsaw. For my thesis project, I’m creating an illustrated map of Norway divided into regions — each with its own local mascot animal, key attractions, and interesting facts.

I’ve already had the chance to visit Stavanger and fell in love with Norway’s nature and culture, so now I’d love to hear insights directly from locals and people who know the country well.

🔹 What animal do you think could best represent your region or hometown?
🔹 What are 3–4 places or attractions everyone should visit in your region?
🔹 And one more thing — I’m also designing a mobile app connected to the map, where users could collect digital mascots and mark visited places.
Would you use an app like that?

I’ve already learned some cool things — for example, Oslo being called Tigerstaden, and the historical connection between the gryphon and Troms region.
