What I expected to happen in the finale (but didn't)

To be fair these were just my own wild ass guesses but it was something like this, in no particular order:

Flag wanted to go into the doors to find Rick alive, finds the Earth X door and reunites with him, at the same time Keith is getting out of the hospital and wants revenge, they both somehow come back into Peacemaker's universe and go after him separately.

In some final battle Peacemaker manages to save both Rick and Keith's lives. Flag Sr. realizes he was wrong about Peacemaker and forgives him and so does Keith. Keith goes back to Earth X to keep up the fight good Auggie wanted and he and Chris have a heartfelt goodbye and closure. Rick stays on our earth so he can be in a non Nazi world because it's revealed he hated it too.

Cameo expectations included the Lanterns or a possible unknown big threat of Man of Tomorrow (Brainiac?)

Season ends basically with some version of the Checkmate thing they did but an after credit scene shows a tease leading to MOT.
