As a customer, is there a way to lessen the blow of large Amazon returns?

Customer Question

I felt so bad because today, I had to return probably around 15-20 items because I got items for a party that I didn’t end up needing and today was the only day I had off to get it all done. I already had my returns started on the app and moved through it fairly quickly. I offered to tip the Kohls employee but he said they couldn’t take tips and I wanted to slip him a $10 but I saw the camera right there and I didn’t want him to get in trouble.

I went when it’s normally dead at my Kohls (middle of the day) and when I walked in, no one was there. And of course, right when I start my returns, the entire city decides to come in.

I’m sweating bullets and I’m apologizing to the employee profusely and telling him he could help everyone else and I’ll loop back around. He just said that he wanted to get it all done. I stopped the line for maybe 5 minutes but everyone was getting super annoyed and I felt awful. The dude there was the only one and then they finally got backup for him after I was there.

Is there anyway to make it easier for you all? Is it just a matter of separating returns into smaller amounts and returning them on different days?
