DT 1990 MKII Foam insert with MKI? Will it work?

SO I've been recently considering doing the Amiron foam insert in my MKI 1990's, but now seeing the MKII's out I'm wondering if these might better? Has anyone done this? I see you cant buy htem off the site but I think if I shoot them an email they would make it happen.
