NYC Bakery - Fresh from scratch

We are in NYC this weekend for comic con. I’m still in my flair, and while my numbers have been trending down on Skyrizi, I still have to watch what I eat.

Tomorrow is my first birthday with Crohn’s. My family wants to get me a little slice of cake. I’m super anxious about it because I found the food that works best for me is food without additives. I have trouble with large amounts of sugar but a few bites of a cake or desert shouldn’t kill me too much. I cannot do prepackaged desserts. They’re almost always chalked full of additives and preservatives that kill my gut.

Do any of you know of bakeries in NYC that make their desserts from scratch? Not just the cake but the frostings too? Looking for just a simple chocolate or vanilla slice with simple chocolate or vanilla frosting. No sprinkles. No food coloring. No preservatives.
