Something was off with Malaika

That whole scene was so strange. Everyone else was outside talking and Malaika stayed inside alone. First she was making a rectangle shape for no clear reason and kept looking over her shoulder like she thought someone would walk in. Then in the next scene she was cutting apples in a really weird way and still acting nervous. What was that about? It was so weird and creepy!
