Ledger SUI app shows a new address — early SUI Wallet address (March 2024) missing

Official Ledger Customer Success Response

Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with my Ledger Nano S and the SUI network.

Back in March 2024, I created a SUI address using the Sui Wallet (Chrome extension) and I connected to it directly via WinUSB through my Ledger. Everything worked fine back then — the wallet showed my balance correctly and I used the device to sign transactions.

After updating and installing the official SUI app on Ledger, the device now shows a completely different address. My original SUI address is no longer visible in Ledger Live or in other wallets like Suiet or Backpack, even after trying multiple accounts and derivation paths.

I never changed or re-entered my seed phrase. Ledger simply started generating a new SUI address, while the original one (with my funds) still exists on-chain.

I’ve already contacted Ledger Support and Sui Support, but I’m posting here in case anyone else had the same issue.

Questions:

Did anyone manage to recover an early SUI Ledger address that was created via Sui Wallet (pre-official app) and WinUSB?

Does anyone know what derivation path or method the old Sui Wallet (bridge) used?

Is there a known workaround to make the Ledger recognize that older address again?

Any help or insight would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.
