Multiple Listing for Kidney Transplant

I've just started the process to try to get on my local transplant list. I also would like to get listed at a second facility. For people who have done this, how did it work out for you? How much of a pain was it to get listed a second time and keep active on more than one list? Did your insurance pay for any additional testing? I'm looking at University of Washington and Mayo Clinic in Phoenix. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
