How I Healed AV

Hi everyone! Just wanted to say there is hope, but you have to find the right doctor.

I suspect my Aerobic Vaginities issue started when I was prescribed the wrong antibiotics for what I thought was a UTI (which was actually BV) - fast forward, took three different kinds of antibiotics, and my good flora was shot and I was susceptible to everything. I experienced not only very hard to describe discomfort (like a fullness feeling, especially when I laid down), ups and downs with my PH levels, and then also a feeling of like a ball or stone or something in my vaginal cavity. Nothing hurt, per-se, but it was uncomfortable, and I dealt with this for a year as every single test came back negative.

I did do a MicroGenx test and Evvy test (which I recommend so you know what you're dealing with) and it showed:

  • Klebsiella aerogenes – 15% (disruptive) Gut-type bacteria linked to aerobic vaginitis (AV) and sometimes UTIs.
  • Gardnerella swidsinskii – 3.8% (disruptive) A BV-associated species that forms biofilm and allows other bacteria to thrive.
  • Prevotella timonensis – 3.3% (disruptive) BV-associated, contributes to higher pH and malodor.
  • Finegoldia magna – 2.3% (disruptive) Often co-occurs with other pathogens; can worsen inflammation and odor.
  • Enterococcus faecalis – 2% (disruptive) Common in aerobic vaginitis and known to create stubborn biofilms.
  • Fannyhessea (Atopobium) vaginae – 1.4% (disruptive) BV-associated and often coexists with Gardnerella.
  • Porphyromonas uenonis – 1.1% (disruptive) Can break down mucosal barriers and worsen inflammation.

Not wanting to go back on the antibiotic route, I took a ton of supplements on my own, as well as BioFilm, to help get my ph levels back to normal. While I think this did help a little, it didnt cure me.

I saw an AMAZING Urogynocologist, who put me on four weeks of vaginal clindamyacin, vaginal estrogen every night for a month, and then had me on two weeks of boric acid after the clindamycin ended, then moving to using it once a week, and vaginal estrogen 2x week. I am also doing pelvic floor therapy, because my pelvic floor is extremely tight due to the pain I was in for so long.

For some reason she isn't recommending probiotics at the moment.

LADIES, this has healed me. I hope this helps someone out there!!!
